Inaya Kajani
Second Grade TEACHER
Inaya grew up in Bellevue, Washington, and has always had a passion for working with children. From an early age, she spent countless hours babysitting and working at summer camps, which sparked her desire to make a positive impact in the lives of young learners. Building strong, meaningful connections with her students is at the heart of her teaching philosophy, as she strives to create a warm, supportive, and dynamic classroom environment where every student feels valued and excited about learning.
Inaya earned her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Child Development from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2024. During her time there, she had the opportunity to volunteer in local elementary school classrooms and tutor students, gaining valuable hands-on experience.
In 2025, Inaya graduated with her Masters of Teaching in Inclusive Childhood Education from NYU, following a year of student teaching in Brooklyn. Her diverse experiences have allowed her to work with students of various backgrounds, cultures, and age groups, further fueling her passion for inclusive, student-centered teaching.
Now, Inaya is excited to begin her first year at P.S. 527, where she looks forward to nurturing the growth and development of her students in a positive and inclusive learning environment!
