2023/24 Direct Appeal

The PS 527 Direct Appeal is playing a more important role than ever before. With enrollment down significantly from its pre-pandemic peak, funds raised through the Direct Appeal are essential in creating the dynamic learning environment that makes our school such a special place for our students to learn and grow - and that we have come to expect at PS 527.

The PTA’s mission is to help our school foster a caring, dynamic learning environment where every student belongs and succeeds. Because we’re a small school, you have the power to shape your student’s experience. Take a look at what your generous contribution helps support and be sure to check if your employer offers a matching gift.

Your support matters now more than ever.

We encourage you to give an amount that is most meaningful to you and your family, keeping in mind how many children you have attending PS 527. In accordance with District 2 Guidance, we suggest a donation of $1,500 per child, but any amount will make a difference. Donating is easy and tax-deductible to the fullest-extent allowable.

We strongly recommend that any donations be made online, by clicking on an option above.

If you would like to make your contribution by check please submit it via your student’s Take Home Folder or drop it in the black PTA Mailbox in the school’s lobby. Please email ptatreasurers@ps527.org to let them know to look out for your check.

Finally, please submit a copy of the PS 527 Direct Appeal Donation Form in your student’s Take Home Folder to ensure they are credited for Class Participation.

Does your employer offer a matching gift? Many companies and organizations will match charitable contributions made by employees and employee spouses. It's an easy way to double, or even triple, your donation. Please check with your employer to see if they offer matching gift programs. Often, companies will match employee gifts up to one year after the date of donation.

Here is a list of companies that have offered matching gift programs in the past. Please double-check with your specific employer to confirm if such a program is offered.
