ADRIANA SOTO

KINDERGARTEN TEACHER

Adriana Soto is a New York native with 8 years of experience working for the Department of Education. She grew up in the suburbs of Westchester and would come down each weekend to Manhattan to visit family and go to church. She received her undergraduate degree in Inclusive Special Education from SUNY Cortland and her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Fordham University. She has also gone on to achieve her National Board Certification.

In the fall of 2017 she began her teaching career in District 1 where she fell in love with teaching kindergarten. In 2020 she moved to District 4 where she taught second grade for five years. She has a deep love for teaching early education and believes that every child has an incredible potential to learn and grow. She is excited to join the PS 527 community and return to kindergarten.

She currently resides in the Lower East Side with her husband. During her free time she enjoys bike riding and finding the best places to eat in NYC. She also loves to travel and delights in spending time with animals. From going to sheep farms in Ireland, capybara cafes in Tokyo, and hiking with elephants in Thailand she enjoys getting up close and personal with some incredible four legged friends. Her dream is to travel to Africa to spend time with the mountain gorillas of Rwanda someday.

Adriana is so excited to become part of such a wonderful community and engage with all the students, staff and families here at PS 527!
