Sarah Boiardi was born and raised in Queens, New York.  She is a recent graduate of CUNY Hunter College where she received her bachelor’s in history and in Childhood Education for grades 1-6.  She is currently working on her master’s in early childhood education. Sarah comes from a big family with many younger cousins and siblings.  Her family is filled with teachers as well.  Hearing all of the wonderful stories about teaching and working with students made a huge impact on her decision to becoming a teacher. Sarah has been working with children since she was 16.   Whether it was in local daycares, tutoring, or babysitting, this area is where she found a passion for being able to make a change in children’s lives.

Sarah recently worked as an associate teacher in Lillie Devereaux Blake School (P.S. 6) and will now be joining P.S. 527!  Sarah is delighted to work at P.S. 527 because of its culture and diversity.  The school treasures the value that each student has, and its teachers are wholly committed to the students social, emotional and academic needs.

Aside from Sarah’s passion for teaching, Sarah has a passion for fitness, and you can often find her in the gym in her spare time. She also enjoys playing and listening to music, reading, shopping, and spending time with her nephew. Sarah is excited to embark on this new journey at P.S 527. She is committed to working alongside the wonderful staff to enrich the students’ education.
