Anne Sammartine

Math Intervention TeaCher

Anne Sammartine has over 25 years of experience as an educator, working in public and private settings.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Marymount Manhattan College and a Master of Science in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Baruch College.  For the past 20 years, Anne has provided math intervention and enrichment for K-5 students in District 2.  She has also coordinated testing and assessment, acted as a middle school liaison, and provided administrative support for a district-wide math initiative as well as for a residency program at City Hall Academy.  Anne believes that all children have the innate ability to do well in math, and that it is the role of the educator to ensure that they are provided with the experiences to do so. She uses multiple instructional strategies in her practice to help students achieve success.

Anne is a native New Yorker who grew up in the South Village.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves to explore all the wonderful things that New York has to offer, especially the theater and jazz.  Anne looks forward to becoming part of the PS 527 community.
